The husband got some flowers for me for V-day a week or so ago... a lone carnation and the daisies are still alive and kicking. They make me long for warmer days, short flowy dresses, cold drinks, flip-flops, and just being outside without a hat and mittens. The flowers are reminiscent of all things that I love about warm weather. The colors make me smile and happy, even though the backdrop is a bleak, white snow covered backyard.
AHH - I have those same Kate Spade vases! I have the green, pink, and blue and can't figure out what to do with them. Currently, they are in the guest room without any flowers in them. I'm thinking of painting the walls light grey (as you've mentioned in a previous blog) and using them as splashes of color in the room. YAY SPRING!
