So, I had an idea. I would like to generate some discussion on this old blog. My idea was to post a question about once a week or so. It will mostly be whatever is on my mind. And that is always some really intellectual and thought-provoking... like what's the meaning of life, is there such a thing as true love, what came first - chicken or egg.
(Yes, I know this is a rooster, but I didn't have a pic of a chicken... you get the point though)
Let's be honest... the questions will most likely be more along the lines of what is your favorite bra, where can you be found on a weekend if you had your choice, what's your favorite chick lit, or best vacation spot. I don't have enough brain space for heavy questions now that I have two kids... okay, I never have had the space!
First week's question, in honor of football season being fully upon us, what is your favorite homemade tailgate food?? So, not BW3's wings or delivery pizza. Something you (or, better yet, someone else) has to prepare and bring to the game. If you don't tailgate, what is wrong with you?! Just kidding (sort of). Answer it as your favorite party grub. I could live on party food alone. For real!
My answer is an Evans / Latiolais favorite, with some added glutton. Velveeta, Rotel, and ground sausage dip, heated up and mixed together. Eaten with Fritos corn chips. DEE-LISH!! I gain about 5 pounds a game, and totally worth it! The original family dip doesn't include the sausage and it doesn't need it. So good on it's own. But, add the sausage and it rocks your socks right off! LOVE IT!!
So, answer the question. Get into the football spirit, or just the football weather that is upon us here in the Midwest. Tomorrow we plan to watch the games and eat at home. We need a relaxing weekend. Maybe we will whip up some amazing dip! Or I will make something that you peeps recommend! Give it to me!
Happy Weekend!! & GO BLUE!!!
We love to make a Queso Black Bean dip. There is this Queso cheese in a can you get at Wal-Mart and you mix it with a can of black beans in the crockpot. Easy peasy and nummilicious!
ReplyDeleteHmm... I LOVE black beans! This sounds so good and easy!
